Welcome to the official page of the Sulfate Superheroes!
We are a team of 4 field researchers for the 2016 Environmental Summer Science
Research Experience. We began focusing our research on reasons behind why the
total population of fungi was large in Microclimate 2. Specifically, why the
fungi was in the form of yeast, demonstrating a sense of discomfort. We also noticed that there were
low levels of sulfur in site 2. We conducted our experiment to see if there was
a correlation between the yeast to mold ratio and the low sulfur levels. You can
use this website to learn more about our experiment and even conduct one of your
own!
