The purpose of the E.S.S.R.E. bibliography is to offer insight into information available on the internet concerning the field of soil ecology. The websites found under each category are rated using a scoring rubric that looks at 10 different elements:  a) degree of bias; b) chronological currency; c) further references; d) ease of navigation; f) author credentials; g) how well proofread for errors; h) quality of visuals; i) correlation between length & complexity of information; j) topic specificity; k) presence of contact address.  Each element receives a score between 0 (inferior) and 10 (superior), and the total average is used to give an overall rating.  Only those earning a 7 or higher are included in this bibliography.
