After completing the Biota survey, our group found patterns involving nitrogen levels in site three. Site three just so happens to be the site that consists of a slippery, extremely steep hillside with patches of rhododendrons with sharp branches. At the bottom of the vertical slope lies a ravine with running water, which creates slippery sharp rocks. In fact, this site is more dangerous than all of the chemicals in our soil test kit combined. In addition to the constant fear of smashing our heads on the rocks below, we had members who were terrified of moths (fortunately getting therapy), snakes, bees and mosquitoes. We were forced to endanger our lives daily to get soil samples from this site.

We would like to thank Mr. Brock for giving us the chance to have this wonderful experience.

Our group would also like to thank Roland Park Country School for allowing us to use their facility and materials, the Kabob Hut for making the chicken kabob platters that kept us going and the National Science Foundation for funding our experience.
