1.
Before going outside, label as many zip-lock baggies as you will
need, make sure to label the baggies accordingly.
2. Use a soil extractor (15 cm by 2 cm) Collect 15 soil core
samples, as the samples are collected, they need to be placed in the
correct baggie: 3 near around one tree (For example the Slippery elm), 3 near another a
different tree (For example the Red maple), 3 near one type of plant (For
example the Garlic weed), 3
more near different type of plant (For example the White Grass), and 3 from an area with
no plant coverage.

After the soil is collected, take the soil inside and put soil in
the fridge until ready to test.

Use a soil
test kit to perform a phosphorus test.
