Hello and welcome to the Site for IrongirlOG! We are a research group in the 2016 ESSRE program. Our team (Grace, Noor, Lili and Emma) studied iron levels in the RPCS backwoods in sites 3 and 4. Through research, we found that iron is required in the photosynthesis process. We also learned some of the factors that can cause different plants to have different rates of photosynthesis. We looked at the dominant species of plant and their respective photosynthesis processes in different sites to figure out what factors were causing the disparity in iron levels between the sites.
